Warriors Down Bugs

Oct 28, 2022

The Shreveport Mudbugs (6-7-2) struggled on the powerplay and it cost them dearly in a 3-0 defeat to the Oklahoma Warriors at the Blazers Ice Centre Friday night.
After a scoreless opening period, it was Oklahoma who scored on a penalty shot from Malte Hasselgren who poked home his fourth tally of the year to give the home team a 1-0 lead midway through the 2nd period.
The third period didn’t get much better for the Mudbugs as they just couldn’t generate many quality chances despite having a plethora of PP opportunities. Oklahoma cashed in on a PP late in the game as Rylan Brady tipped in a goal in front at 17:30 to make it a 2-0 contest. The Warriors would then add an EN goal to seal up 3-0 victory over Shreveport.

The Bugs and Warriors will conclude their two-game series tomorrow night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. from the Blazers Ice Centre.
