The Shreveport Mudbugs are proud to announce the tendering of Matthew McGowan for the 2020-21 season.
Mudbugs Hockey scout Tom Winkler says “Matthew is an extremely competitive player who has the ability to see the ice and make smart hockey plays. He moves the puck well and has a great work rate. Matthew plays in all situations and is a leader on an exceptionally strong team.”
St. Louis AAA Blues U18 Head Coach Matt Ocello says “Matthew is a solid two way player that not only contributes offensively, but also provides key defensive play in all areas of the ice. Over the last few years, he has worked hard both on ice and off ice to prepare himself to play in the North American Hockey League Hockey. The Mudbugs are getting a player that will take great pride in representing the organization.”
When asked about coming to Shreveport, Matt said “I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a Mudbug. I can’t wait to get started and do whatever I can to help the team win.”
