The Shreveport Mudbugs (6-11-4) made a huge statement with timely goals and superb goaltending to help shutout the Amarillo Wranglers, 3-0 Friday night at George’s Pond in Hirsch Coliseum.
The Bugs exploded late in the first period and it started at 14:53 when Gunner Moore gunned one towards the net from the right point which found its way through for his first tally of the season to make it a 1-0 Shreveport edge. Then the reigning champs got a huge shot from Austin Brimmer who took a perfect feed from Jacob Onstott and roofed in his seventh goal of the season through the slot to push the lead to 2-0 at 19:49.
