MUDBUGS TAKE DOWN WARRIORS 7-4 IN RETURN TO ACTION

Nov 7, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK- After a week off to rest, recover and reload the Mudbugs entered Friday Night November 6th against the Oklahoma Warriors (6-6-1) at 13-2-1 inside the Blazers Ice Centre looking to pick up where they left off. With Kristers Plepis out due to Immigration Tag-Up, Jack Greenwell got the start for the Bugs. On the other side, it was a reunion of sorts for Warriors forward Olivier Lavidiere as this was his first game against the Mudbugs since being traded from Shreveport to Oklahoma back in Late August-Early September after the exhibition slate of games. In the 1st Period, the Bugs jumped out to a 1-0 lead early on Robin Israelsson’s 5th goal on the season at 14:00. From there it was about defending it and the Bugs defended it well both with the Defensive units and with Jack Greenwell making the necessary saves.

The second period saw an onslaught of goals from the Boys in Black which saw a 4-goal effort by the Bugs get them out to a 5-0 lead. Evan Hoglund, Willie Tremblay, Duke Ehrhard, and Hoglund again got those goals in particular order but we weren’t done there. Oklahoma at 04:41 got on the board from Joey DeRosa and began chipping away at the lead. Olivier Laverdiere then put the deficit at 3 going into the third. In the third period the Warriors got two very quick goals from Brock Potter and Dallas Jackson to get the deficit at 1. However, Jason Simons 1 minute-ish later went End-to-End and got the Bugs the two-goal lead back. From there it was a matter of playing strong Defense and having strong goaltending, which the Bugs had both to finish out the game after Duke Ehrhard nabbed his second goal of the game, this time of the empty net variety to give the Bugs the W.

Shreveport extends their record to 14-2-1, while Oklahoma drops to 6-7-1. Jack Greenwell stopped 22 of 26 and Jakob Hanlan of the Warriors stopped 22 of 28. Standings wise, the Bugs stay in first place in the South and entire NAHL meanwhile the Warriors stay in 6th Place. SOG’s finished at 29-26 with the advantage going to the Bugs. Special Teams wise, Bugs went 0/2 on the PowerPlay and went 1/2 on the Penalty Kill. Saturday November 7th’s contest against these same Oklahoma Warriors’s puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm with Duncan Welker and the Landers Dodge Pregame Warmup Show hitting the airwaves on NATV and the Mudbugs Audio Network on YouTube at 6:45 PM.
