Travis Huntington
Travis Huntington has been with the Mudbugs as Director of Communications & Broadcasting since September of 2007. In addition to calling play-by-play for every Mudbugs hockey game, he is responsible for issuing press releases, coordinating media coverage, and handling the team's communication with the Central Hockey League office and fans. Travis was nominated for the CHL's Broadcaster of the Year award in both of his first two seasons as the "Voice of the Mudbugs" and won the award in 2010 after his third season on the call. He was also selected as the play-by-play broadcaster for the 2009 CHL All-Star Game in Loveland, Colorado and voted by his peers as one of the top 3 broadcasters in the CHL in the league's 2010 "Best of the Best" poll. Travis joined the Mudbugs from his home state of Colorado, where he was previously a sports and news reporter/anchor for Clear Channel Radio of Northern Colorado. In addition to broadcasting the Mudbugs, he has worked on radio and TV broadcasts for the Colorado Eagles of the CHL, Colorado State University football, basketball and volleyball, the Fort Collins Foxes summer collegiate baseball team, and high school football and basketball. Travis is originally from the town of Platteville, Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Journalism. In addition to being a huge hockey fan, he also loves football, outdoor activities, music and time with family & friends. He currently resides in Bossier City with his girlfriend, Jessica.
