Mudbugs Use Final Tender on Redmon

The Shreveport Mudbugs, proud members of the North American League are pleased to announce the signing of forward Michael Redmon to a tender agreement for the 2017-2018 season.  Redmon is the ninth and final Mudbugs tender as the coaching and scouting staffs prepare for Shreveport’s second campaign in the NAHL.

“Michael is a very competitive, balanced player who works extremely hard at both ends of the rink,” Director of Scouting Mike Grattan says.  “He skates well, brings energy each and every shift and sees openings when the puck is on his stick.”

The 1998 birth year just completed his second season of junior hockey, playing for the Nashville Jr. Predators in the NA3HL.  The Ann Arbor, MI native tallied 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 total points in 45 regular season games played.  In 2015-2016, Redmon appeared in 35 games in the Music City and and totaled 17 points.

Prior to joining the Jr. Predators, the 5’11, 170 pound forward competed overseas with SC Bietigheim-Bissingen, a German-based hockey club.  Redmon skated for the club’s U16, U18 and U19 squads while his family was living in Europe.

Associate Head Coach Francis Anzalone is pleased to welcome Redmon to the fold.

“Michael is a player who attended our Main Camp last July and then visited Shreveport late in the season and practiced with our team.  He showed that he used this past season to improve his game and take steps in many areas.  We are excited to watch him continue his development in Shreveport.”
