The Mudbugs broke a 0-0 tie in the 2nd period when Brendan VanSweden who fed Roberts Baranovskis from the far circle who buried a one-timer for his fourth goal of the year at 10:11 of the period. It was the only goal of the period as Shreveport led 1-0 after two periods of play.
