SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –
The Shreveport Mudbugs have given their ice rink a new look to kick off their “Pink out the Pond” campaign.
“It’s more than pink. We have painted the ice pink. We have pink T-shirts, this and that,” said Jason Campbell, operations director.
“But it’s more than that. We’re more than that. We’re here to raise awareness, raise some funds and bring a community together.”
The gathering is happening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 19, at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum.
The event will give people an opportunity to meet the players, see the pink ice rink and buy T-shirts.
Part of the proceeds from the T-shirt sales will go to Susan G. Komen North Louisiana.
